Carly: Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do for a living?
Adin: My name is Adin Ehrlich! I’m from El Paso, TX and a third-year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine planning to go into orthopedic surgery!
Carly: What was your 'Jewish experience' like in college?
Adin: I went to Washington University in St. Louis, which is known to the Jewish alumni as “Wash-Jew” because of the many Jews who attend the university! My friends and I would go to Shabbat dinner at Chabad or Hillel every Friday night where they served unlimited food and wine! Great Jewish community where I made lifelong friends!
Carly: How has living in Houston been for you?
Adin: Houston has been a great place for medical school! I’ve enjoyed trying new restaurants, relaxing and studying in Hermann and Memorial Park and exploring the city! With my schedule it has been hard to hang out with friends or meet new people as often as I’d like, but I’m glad to have had the chance to make all of the friends I have!
Carly: What has been the biggest surprise about living in Houston?
Adin: The fact that driving to and from the grocery store is pretty much a half day event.
Carly: What do you enjoy most about Jewston events?
Adin: Meeting new Jews in Houston!
Carly: What do you do for fun?
Adin: I play tennis, collect and play electric guitars, love trying new restaurants and bars, and occasionally hit up the Heights!
