Meet Daniel: Jewston's Mensch of the month!

Carly: Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do for a living?

Daniel: My name is Daniel Wachsberg; I'm 23 years old and a native Houstonian. I am currently looking for a job in digital marketing or communications, as I recently graduated in December from the University of Kansas.

Carly: What was your 'Jewish experience' like in college?

Daniel: My Jewish experience in college included attending Chabad events a few times a month and being in AEPi. Chabad connected me spiritually to Judaism as I would partake in some classes and attend Shabbat dinners and holiday services. AEPi gave me my friends and lifelong connections while fostering a Jewish community in college.

Carly: How has your time in Houston been?

Daniel: As a native Houstonian, it's been great being back with family!

Carly: What has been the biggest surprise about living in Houston?

Daniel: The biggest surprise since returning is how much this city has grown! I never really appreciated how big Houston was until I lived in a small town in Kansas for school for the last few years.

Carly: Is there anything else you want the Jewston community to know?

Daniel: Feel free to reach out whether to hang out, grab a drink, check out a new restaurant, or catch a game!

Email Carly (carly@houstonhillel.org) to nominate your friend to be our next Jewston Mensch of the month!
