Carly: Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do for a living?
Miranda: My name is Miranda Michelle Ruzinsky. I am from Houston and I am a full-time student.
Carly: What was your 'Jewish experience' like in college?
Miranda: My Jewish experience in college (since I am still there) includ(s)ed Hillel events and Jewston events. I enjoy the community and opportunity to partake in the Jewish cultural experience I only ever received at religious school or family celebrations during the High Holidays.
Carly: How has your time in Houston been?
Miranda: My time in Houston has been incredible. I love my hometown and that is one of the reasons I chose to continue my higher education at UH. I have grown to love it more as I have gotten older and hope to continue to explore all it has to offer.
Carly: What has been the biggest surprise about living in Houston?
Miranda: The biggest surprise I have ever gotten about living in Houston is about how dang flat it is. I thought this was normal until I started to travel around the country when I was younger. I found out that hills and mountains aren't just on computer wallpapers!
Carly: What do you enjoy most about Jewston events?
Miranda: I enjoy connection to both my peers and my religious heritage during Jewston events.
Carly: Is there anything else you want the Jewston community to know?
Miranda: For fun, I love to read, play sports, do yoga, watch movies, chill with my dog, and be with family. I don't have that thing under my tongue that most people have that restricts the length of it so I naturally have a really long tongue that can touch the tip of my nose and almost down to my chin :).
